The Project Factory have been having lots of fun lately working with the Microsoft Kinect, the fastest selling consumer electronics device of all time. Earlier this month, Toyota unveiled our very exciting collaboration at a series of dealer meetings around Australia. The 'FJ Experience' provides and interesting look into the future of product demonstration.
Using a powerful computer, a 3D projector and a Kinect Sensor, The Project Factory have created an interactive experience like never before. Users can change colours, spin, zoom in, and explode the New Toyota FJ Cruiser all through a series of arm movements.
Viewed in 2D mode or stereoscopic 3D, this takes product interaction to a new level. Now users are no longer restricted to browsing a car in a showroom, but they can personalize it, play with it and put it in any virtual environment.
This project is a fantastic demonstration of how gaming devices and marketing can go brilliantly hand in hand.
The technology itself can be applied in many ways and The Project Factory are very excited to be leading the way in the adaption of gaming devices for product demonstrations and storytelling, providing innovative user experiences.
