Ocean Tracks is a game changing project, using scientific data visualised in new ways to create a rich 3D underwater world where you can swim with the underwater inhabitants who roam around the Australian coastline.
Developed using the Unity3D engine, Ocean Tracks creates a virtual map of the migratory paths of the different species and then invites users to dive underwater where they can swim alongside Blue Whales, White Sharks, Tuna, Blue Spangled Emperors and other fish species.
The Project Factory worked closely with Australia's leading scientific research institute, the CSIRO to ensure that this project is visually stunning, as well as scientifically accurate and educational.
